Updates & resources

A letter to our clients
In February, a new conflict in the Middle East prompted by US-Israeli airstrikes on Iran, and retaliatory strikes across the wider region, grounded commercial flights and closed airspace and borders across the region. People were generally advised to seek safety and shelter in place. Most organizations rightly prioritized the safety and wellbeing of their employees as a first response.
As the situation evolves, focus is now turning to the next stage: business continuity, operational resilience, and the alternative strategies organizations may need to consider in response to a fast-changing environment. Our first priority has been to work with you, our clients, to ensure your employees are located and safe.
This resource center has been created to support that broader planning. It brings together strategic insight to help organizations understand how the market is responding, assess their options, and plan for the impact on their workforce and operations. We will continue to add information and resources as the situation evolves.
Our email alerts will remain focused on immediate, tactical developments, including immigration changes, travel routes, border access, and compliance updates. We are adding our most recent alerts here, and you can find them on our Vialto Alerts website as well. You can also access our live Rapid Deployment Dashboard for the latest developments.
This remains a highly uncertain situation, and we are here to help you respond with confidence.
Sincerely,
Sharan Kundi, Global Head of Immigration, Vialto

Impacts of the Middle East conflict on global mobility
The current conflict is having a significant impact on travel, immigration, and global mobility across parts of the Middle East. Security developments, airspace disruption, and consular service interruptions are affecting employee movement, business travel, and immigration processes, with implications for both employers and employees.
Employee safety: A volatile security environment may affect employee safety, mobility, and access to services in affected locations.
Business continuity: Regional disruption may affect business continuity through travel delays, operational uncertainty, and impacts to workforce mobility.
Visa and immigration requirements: Changing border conditions and reduced consular capacity may disrupt visa, passport, and immigration processes.
Travel disruption: Travel remains affected by airspace restrictions, cancellations, delays, rerouting, and limited commercial options.
Crisis response and decision-making in a rapidly changing environment
Vialto's Sharan Kundi discusses the critical issues employers must consider as they develop strategies to support employee safety, relocate workforces successfully, and navigate issues around taxes, paying people, and remote work policies.
