For the purposes of this playbook, a crisis is any event that disrupts the ability of globally mobile and local employees to live and work safely and compliantly in their assigned locations.

To be prepared for a crisis or sudden disruption:
- Document and regularly test your crisis management protocols and define governance, communication and decision-making responsibilities in times of crisis and disruption.
- Map who and where your people and their immediate families are.
- Without creating unnecessary alarm, proactively communicate expectations and readiness guidance. .with employees in high-risk regions.

During crisis and disruptive events:
- Ensure employees are prepared for travel or evacuation, have clear instructions, and know where to go.
- Understand viable relocation destinations where they can travel or be evacuated to, and have tracking systems in place to monitor their movement or identify challenges.
- Maintain clear, consistent, and measured communications with employees, leadership, and stakeholders as things change.
- Plan for immigration, tax, social security, and payroll continuity from the outset employees in high-risk regions.
